Oh Land Releases "FAUNA" on Vinyl for the First Time to Celebrate Album's 10th Anniversary

Nanna Øland Fabricius, known to fans around the world as the artist Oh Land, wrote and produced her first album, Fauna in 2008, which was released to much critical acclaim. Recorded mostly by herself in her bedroom, Fabricius discovered an early knack for production. The album was released in 2018 digitally and on CD, but never on vinyl... until Now. On November 10th, 2018 it will finally be released on a luxurious light blue 180g vinyl, packaged in a gatefold cover and accompanied by a 16-page booklet. The vinyl, including signed versions, is available via PledgeMusic HERE.

“I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I released Fauna," notes Nanna. "It would define a whole new life for me. At the time I made this album I had no direction in my life, the only thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to spend my every living second making music. I had no real understanding of the fact that people would one day hear what I was making. I had never played even one show when I released it. I was so busy making and living it that I didn't even think of how to release it, and now 10 years later it still hasn't been released on vinyl - until now!”

“My musical roots are in the soil of Fauna,” she continues, “and I’m forever thankful for the people who took my music in at that time. I would not be where I am today if there hadn't been adventurous ears out there, wanting to hear my musical inventions. (-: ”

OH LAND'S "NUMB" GETS HIP-HOP REBOOT COURTESY OF EARTHGANG

Last year American hip-hop group EarthGang used a prominent sample of Oh Land's song "Numb" (from her very first album, Fauna) for their single "Meditate,"  which was also featured in this amazing video, and we loved it immediately. Even more exciting, the song was also used in a recent episode of hot Childish-Gambino (aka Donald Glover)-powered American TV show "Atlanta". Check out episode 8, "Woods", to catch a taste of the show here.
